Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Guatemala: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Guatemala reflected varying trends across downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 11.8K at the beginning of October and peaking at approximately 16.6K by mid-December. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users fluctuating between 972K and 1.2M throughout the quarter.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos saw a dramatic rise in weekly downloads, particularly notable in December, where downloads surged to about 20.9K. Active users showed a corresponding increase, growing from 234 at the start of the quarter to approximately 8.2K by the end of December.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer displayed a downward trend in downloads, beginning at 3.7K and decreasing to just over 700 by the end of December. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.6K to nearly 3K.

Google Earth maintained consistent download numbers, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 2.1K. The app's active users peaked mid-quarter at around 22.5K, before experiencing a gradual decline.

Finally, Radar Map, Radar Detector, HUD began the quarter with downloads at 3.4K, which progressively decreased to 272 by the end of December. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 11.7K and 15K.
